NEOTEX: Roof Waterproofing with ETA – Certified 25-Year Service Life

Durable roof waterproofing is a critical requirement in modern building construction. Choosing certified systems with documented long-term performance ensures the functionality and protection of the building envelope, significantly extending the overall lifespan of the structure.

NEOTEX offers multiple roof waterproofing systems with European Technical Assessment (ETA), placing them in the highest W3 category, with an estimated service life of 25 years, according to the European Assessment Document EAD 030350-00-0402.

Technical Assessment & Classification

The ETA is an official and internationally recognized technical document issued by a Technical Assessment Body (TAB), member of EOTA (European Organisation for Technical Assessment). It provides a comprehensive performance evaluation of a construction product.

EAD 030350-00-0402 refers to liquid-applied roof waterproofing systems, defining the requirements and testing procedures for their classification based on climate conditions, loads, slope, temperatures, and service life — with W3 being the highest classification (25 years).

Neoproof® Polyurea R – Cold-applied elastic polyurea system

The innovative Neoproof® Polyurea R system incorporates the latest advancements in waterproofing technology. Applied by roller or airless spray, it features:
  • Zero water absorption
  • Long-term UV resistance
  • Exceptionally high mechanical strength
  • Unique consistency, with no bubbling
  • Resistance to early rain exposure
  • High performance under external fire exposure
  • Certified cool roofing properties (in white and light grey)
  • Excellent adhesion to various substrates
  • Resistance to root penetration
  • Outstanding crack-bridging properties

Based on the respective ETA, Neoproof® Polyurea R is classified in the W3 category (25 years) for both non-compressible substrates (concrete, metal) and compressible substrates (PU foam, bitumen membrane), under the most demanding conditions:

  • Severe climate (S)
  • All slope categories (S1 – S4)
  • Lowest (TL4) and highest (TH4) surface temperatures
  • Highest user load on non-compressible substrates (P4)

This classification is achieved even as a non-reinforced, low-consumption system (≥1.5kg/m²), without any additional protective topcoat.

Neoproof® PU W & Neoroof® – Water-Based polyurethane systems

The aliphatic water-based polyurethane system Neoproof® PU W forms a highly elastic and moisture-impermeable membrane, offering:

  • Excellent resistance to stagnant water
  • Long-term UV and weather resistance
  • Enhanced hardness and mechanical strength
  • Certified cool roofing properties (white shade)
  • User-friendly and eco-friendly

Meanwhile, Neoroof® is an advanced hybrid (PU-acrylic) elastomeric roof coating with unique long-lasting reflective properties, featuring:

  • Very high, certified cool roofing performance (white shade)
  • Long-lasting whiteness with certified reflectivity for 15 years
  • Resistance to dirt and pollutants
  • Excellent durability against ponding water and weather extremes
  • User-friendly and eco-friendly

Both Neoproof® PU W and Neoroof® are classified in the W3 category (25 years) as reinforced systems on non-compressible substrates, even for severe climates, for any roof slope, and extremely challenging temperature conditions.
